 Everybody's Gotta Eat Intro

Hello. Hello, hello. Thank you so much for listening in to my podcast, Everybody's Gotta Eat. I'm Allison Taylor and I'm so excited that you're joining me. I wanted to give you an intro so you know what to expect from this podcast. I recorded my trailer back in September, and so my podcast has gotten way more focused and I have way more direction about where I want it to go.

And so this intro is letting you know what you can expect. Don't forget to hit subscribe so you don't miss out on my launch, which is January 20th.

But first, a little bit about me. I am a military wife to my amazing husband, Angelo. We've been married for nine and a half years. We have an eight year old daughter named Emma, a six-year-old daughter named Kendrick, and a two-year-old son named Angelo Junior. My love for cooking started a very long time ago.

I was probably 10 or 11, and I come from a long line of amazing home chefs, from my great grandma to my grandma, to my mom. I grew up with food, kind of being a love language. The act of cooking, being a love language, and of course baking as well.

And cooking for my husband and my kids is an act of love. I really enjoy doing it. It's a passion of mine and having kids has really taught me how to be strategic in the kitchen and how to get creative to simplify recipes, to streamline grocery list making, and to really just save a lot of time and energy that you need to have when you are raising children.

The name, everybody's gotta eat I thought of immediately when I decided to start this podcast because I mean, it's true, right? Everybody's gotta eat. Everybody's gotta make grocery lists. Everybody's gotta plan what they're having for dinner, what they're making for breakfast, what they need stocked in their pantry, or their fridge or their freezer.

There's just so much that goes into something that we all have to do in order to survive.

There's so much more to food than just survival, right? We tie so much emotion to it, so much power, so much love and compassion, food is like this ultimate connector between all of us.

As a wife and a mom and someone who cooks for their family, a lot goes into meal planning and making grocery lists and cooking.

And it's really something that's very important to me and it's a big deal. Feeding your family food that will nourish them, that will help them grow, that will give them the brain power to sustain their day. What you do as a mom when it comes to cooking is so very, very important.

And what I've learned and what I've realized over the past several years is that in order for me to feel good about feeding my family, here's the key word, simple. Recipes need to be simple. Ingredients need to be simple. Meal planning needs to be simple. Grocery list creating needs to be simple. And that doesn't mean that the food is boring or plain or bland or your kids won't eat it.

Simple can mean delicious, healthy food that your family will eat, and keep you from being in a place of feeling overwhelmed or wanting to give up, or not having the time or the energy to create meal plans or grocery lists or cook.

So if you feel the mental weight of having to be the organizer of food for your family, if you feel overwhelmed by cooking dinner every night, or planning meals each week and writing grocery lists each week, or just feel uninspired by food sometimes, this podcast is for you.

I want you to know you are not alone and we all go through that and that's why I want to help and encourage and inspire you and lay out meal ideas for you. Lay out tips and tricks I've learned along the way in the kitchen that have helped me simplify food for my family.

All my fellow moms out there just doing their best to feed their family. You are in the right place.

Also because food plays such a huge part in all of our lives, I want to share a story each episode that's centered around food, and I would love to hear your story that you have about food. That can be a tradition that you have in your family. It can be a funny story that you remember about food. It can be a core memory that you have centered around food. Really, anything goes. If you want to share your story with me and hear a shout out on my podcast, email me at Allison a l l i s o n, @allisontaylor.co. That's co Allison taylor.co.

Okay. Thank you so much for listening. Thank you so much for subscribing. Remember, my launch date is January 20th, and if you check out my show notes, you can see where I'm located on my social channels, and I've also included a recipe for you to try out.

Have an amazingly wonderful day you guys.
